At the February meeting of the GLOCOM Platform seminar, Mr. Huq talked about the perception of Japan in the developing world, particularly in Bangladesh, and pointed out such problems as too much emphasis on economic aid, quantitative expansion rather than qualitative excellence, etc. In his concluding remarks, he argued that Japan could be a model for many developing countries, but Japan's human development aspect should not be forgotten to make the Japanese model to be applicable in reality.
