As a Japan Society fellow and a GLOCOM visiting research fellow, Mr. Howard F. Rosen did an extensive study on Japan's labor market and employment policy in August, 2003. Based on his research, Mr. Rosen gave a talk at the August meeting of the GLOCOM Platform seminar series, where he first talked about recent developments in the US economy and then compared the US, Japan and Europe regarding unemployment.
